In October 2012, with the approval of the State Council, Miyun Park was established with an area of 10.01 square kilometers. It was divided into "one park and two zones", the latter being the Miyun Economic Development Zone and the Business Zone. 

The park has preliminarily formed the automobile and spare parts industry represented by Foton Beijing Multi-function Automobile Factory, the new building material industry represented by Rechsand Science & Technology, the food and beverage industry represented by Jinmailang Beverage, the electronic information industry represented by PICC P&C Electronic Commerce North Operation Center, and the biomedical industry represented by Konruns. 

At present, Miyun Park has gathered more than 130 high-tech enterprises. 

Preliminary statistics show that its enterprises' total income in 2018 was 32.00 billion yuan. Next, Miyun Park will focus on the development of the new energy and energy conservation and environmental protection (pollution prevention, recycling and utilization of resources) industries, and actively foster the smart equipment and pharmaceutical health industries.
