Li Bin, vice-chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), recently visited the working organs of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation to learn about its progress in accomplishing major tasks and plans for 2022.
Noting that the foundation rallies under the spiritual inheritance of "to revitalize China", Li, also chairwoman of the foundation, said it's important to have a clear picture of its direction and mission in the new era and make unremitting efforts to support the second centenary goal of building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Li also said the foundation should be committed to its roles for expanding people-to-people diplomacy, promoting the peaceful reunification of the motherland, advancing the development of the philanthropy sector, and supporting youth-centered programs.
For the work in 2022, she called on the foundation to follow the guideline of making progress while maintaining stability, align the programs closely with the priorities of the Communist Party of China and the country, and ensure a successful celebration of the foundation's 40th anniversary.
The foundation should do a good job in the planning and implementation of its key projects and also give full play to its leading and exemplary role in the philanthropy sector, Li said. She also urged the foundation's leading Party members’ group to improve capacity-building and strengthen political judgment, understanding and execution.
