Last year, China released a decision allowing all couples to have three children and rolling out a slew of support measures. He Dan, head of the China Population and Development Research Center, spoke about the effects of the "third-child" policy, measures to encourage birth and reap demographic dividends, as well as her projections for future population growth.
As a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, she said her proposal this year is focused on respecting family values and building a family-friendly society.
