The second plenary session of the 15th Jiu San Society Central Committee was held in Beijing from Dec 15 to 16. Wu Weihua, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and chairman of the Jiu San Society Central Committee, delivered a work report on behalf the Standing Committee of the 15th Jiu San Society Central Committee.

Wu said that the Jiu San Society has made a good start in all aspects of its work, with political consensus further consolidated, deliberation of State affairs and suggestion offering becoming more precise, social service work becoming more dynamic, and self-building of the society becoming more solid.

Wu noted that in 2024, while implementing the plans made by the work report of the Standing Committee of the 15th Jiu San Society Central Committee, the party will also highlight efforts to consolidate the achievements of the thematic education campaign, conduct more in-depth investigation and research to enhance high-quality duty performance, and faithfully implement the five-year plan on promoting self-building. It will strive to build a high-level and high-quality participating socialist party with Chinese characteristics in the new era.

Shao Hong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and executive vice-chairman of the Jiu San Society Central Committee, presided over the opening meeting and attended the closing meeting.
