The third plenary session of the 12th Central Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association (CNDCA) was held in Beijing on Dec 5. The meeting reviewed the work reports of the Standing Committee and the Internal Supervision Committee of the 12th CNDCA Central Committee.

Hao Mingjin, chairman of the CNDCA Central Committee, delivered the work report on behalf of the standing committee, while Qin Boyong, executive vice-chairwoman of the CNDCA Central Committee, presided over the opening meeting.

Hao said the CNDCA Central Committee and its standing committee had furthered self-development, fulfilled its role as a political party participating in State governance, and made steady progress with innovations across all areas of work.

Hao stressed that the CNDCA must conduct in-depth research to improve the quality of proposals and suggestions with focus on the major decisions and plans of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, carry out well-positioned democratic supervision, and innovate its approaches to improve the effectiveness of social services. 

He also underscored the importance of enhancing self-improvement to mark the upcoming 80th anniversary of the founding of the CNDCA with outstanding achievements.
