Xian Hui, vice-chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand in Beijing on April 9.

Xian briefed the princess on the outcomes of China's two sessions — the annual meetings of the National People’s Congress and the CPPCC National Committee — as well as the country's economic development.

The two parties exchanged views on implementing the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, deepening exchanges and cooperation, and advancing the building of a China-Thailand community with a shared future.
