Tech innovators from Greater Bay Area forge partnerships with OVC
The "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Tech Innovators Visit Optics Valley" event was held on Dec 26 in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC), drawing 11 leading tech companies from the Greater Bay Area and over 50 representatives from OVC's key enterprises, research institutions, and investment firms, promoting cross-regional innovation partnerships.
The visiting companies from the Greater Bay Area specialize in cutting-edge fields such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and new energy, boasting strong technical capabilities and significant market potential.
During the matchmaking session, OVC officials detailed local industrial plans, talent policies, and service ecosystems. Representatives from the Greater Bay Area showcased their project highlights and engaged in in-depth discussions with OVC enterprises on technology collaboration and market expansion, resulting in several cooperation agreements.
Investment institutions, including Jiangcheng Fund and Optics Valley Seed Fund, also participated, offering financial support for innovation projects. Many investors expressed their commitment to providing long-term capital to support the growth and innovation of these enterprises.
The Greater Bay Area's participants were impressed by OVC's industrial clusters and innovation ecosystem in sectors like integrated circuits and AI, where they saw vast opportunities for collaboration. DeepMag Technology's founder Chen Runze, for example, revealed plans to deepen cooperation with OVC in an effort to accelerate the industrialization of integrated computing chips.
OVC aims to further strengthen collaborative innovation with the Greater Bay Area, fostering a deep integration of industry, research, talent, and capital to drive high-quality regional development.
