Shandong Party chief meets sister-city delegations

Liu Jiayi, secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, met with heads of provincial-level sister-city delegations in Jinan, the provincial capital, on Oct 15.

He warmly welcomed the delegations attending the Shandong International Friendship Cities Conference for Cooperation and Development (SDIFCC), which is taking place from Oct 15 to 20.

Liu stressed that sister cities play a vital role in Shandong’s opening-up, and he promised that the province would strengthen ties and deepen cooperation with international partners through the event.

The SDIFCC will serve as a platform for better dialogue, creating benefits for all participants, he said. 

Other delegates echoed Liu’s remarks, with many saying that they felt honored to take part in the conference and would use the opportunity to learn more about Shandong.
