E'shan She ethnic minority village under vigorous development
A ceremony to designate E'shan She ethnic minority village in Tonglu county, East China's Zhejiang province, as the most famous She ethnic minority village in China was held on Oct 16, 2019. The beginning of demonstration construction for national ethnic minority villages was also announced at the ceremony.

The She people in E'shan moved from Zhejiang's Wencheng and Qingtian counties around the year 1875. And E'shan She people ever since have used their own language and traditional customs in important festivals and events such as weddings, funerals and ancestor worship. Their traditional cultures of Kungfu, folk song and dance featuring She ethnic characteristics have been well protected and under development in the past hundred years.

In addition, E'shan has been named the permanent location for the China (Zhejiang) national dress design show.
A total of eight measures including special funds to promote E'shan's She ethnic village's economic and social development, preferential tax policies for culture and tourism industries, and support for education and healthcare in E'shan were recently issued by Qi Li, the magistrate of Tonglu county.
