State-owned enterprise establishes baseball team in Shaoxing

Shaoxing Communications Investment Group built the baseball stadium for the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 and considers promoting baseball its social responsibility.
According to Zhou Yong, the group's vice-general manager, the group is creating a future baseball community. "We want to get more people into the sport by strengthening talent training and building a more complete sports system," said Zhou.

The baseball and softball project, which will serve as the venue for the Asian Games baseball and softball events, is located at the junction of Shaoxing's Keqiao district and Jinghu New Area. Its total construction area is about 160,000 square meters and it is expected to cost around 1.8 billion yuan ($264.14 million).
It will feature the largest baseball field in China and be built to international competition standards.
