The 2020 International IP Operation Forum of SINOIP, a sub-forum of the 17th Shanghai International Intellectual Property Forum, was held in Shanghai on Oct 20, according to the organizers.
The theme was "Industrial Transformation and Application of IP Under the New International Situation".
Chen Qun, vice-mayor of Shanghai, attended and addressed the forum.
He said the future development and application of intellectual property was an important question for unlocking the value of IP – and Shanghai had established a "four-in-one" IP operations service system featuring a platform, an institution, capital and industry.
He noted that Shanghai would further enhance its IP service system, to develop itself as an international IP hub.
Leading experts from home and abroad shared their practical experiences and insights at the forum, the organizers said.
Experts came from the areas of biological medicine, intelligent transportation, IP brand licensing, among others – and included Frank Tietze, doctoral advisor of the Institute for Manufacturing, at Cambridge University in the UK.
Meanwhile, the White Paper on Innovation and Development of the ICT Industry was jointly released at the forum by the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology and Shanghai International Intellectual Property Operation Management Co Ltd.
