Kong Xiangjun, Dean of Koguan Law School, Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Kong Xiangjun gave a keynote speech entitled "Reflections on Today's Basic Situation of IP Protection in China" at the 17th Shanghai International Intellectual Property Forum.

He pointed out that under the interaction of domestic and foreign factors, China is currently carrying out a new round of law revision and improvement, and the judicial departments and administrative system are actively taking actions to send a strong signal to strengthen the protection of IP.

He said in the future, China should continue to strengthen the protection of IP, and attach great importance to the scientific decision-making of IP protection.

Professor Kong Xiangjun holds a Juris Doctor's degree. He concurrently serves as vice president of the Shanghai Law Society and is vice president of the China Society of Market Supervision and Management. He was a member of the Judicial Committee of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Judge of the Supreme People's Court IPR Tribunal and was Deputy Secretary of the Sichuan Commission for Politics and Law and the Deputy President of the First Circuit Court of the Supreme People's Court. Professor Kong has been Dean of the KoGuan law School at Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 2018.
