The hundred-year-old apple tree found inside the base of Yantai Wosen Agricultural Technology Company has attracted much attention from domestic experts and high- level officials.

The company, with an investment capital of 3 million yuan ($450,600), was established in 2019 and has been specializing in the selection and cultivation of qualified apple trees. 

To date, it has introduced over 50 varieties of qualified apple trees and built a breeding base that covers an area of more than 300 mu (20 hectares). The apple breeding base will take full advantage of Yantai apples to promote tourism and develop its brand.
