Organizers offer special services for 'special' athletes

As the 8th National Special Olympic Games begin in the city of Baoji, Northwest China's Shaanxi province, the organizers are providing health check services for the around 1,200 athletes attending the games.
From Saturday to Wednesday, 75 doctors and 128 volunteers will check the athletes' eyesight, hearing, oral cavity and nutrition conditions.
There can be potential problems that parents are not able to discover in time because some of the athletes for the Special Olympic Games, especially held for those with mental health challenges, have limited expression abilities, according to the China Disabled Persons' Federation in Beijing.
