In the face of the current severe situation with COVID-19 prevention and control, overseas promotional officers and expats living in the Longwan district – located in Wenzhou city in East China's Zhejiang province – took the initiative and got stuck in joining in the anti-epidemic activities.
Overseas Chinese employed as overseas promotional officers by the Longwan office of the Wenzhou Overseas Media Center, shared articles about COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control with the overseas Chinese in Italy, France, the United Arab Emirates and other countries through WeChat groups and Moments.
The results Zhejiang and Longwan had achieved in the fight against COVID-19 were also widely shared through the channels.
In addition, they also recorded a video to contribute to Zhejiang's fight against the pandemic, which received overwhelming responses online.
The overseas Chinese and the expats in Longwan undertook multiple measures to contribute their time and efforts.
By virtue of their language skills, the overseas Chinese explained anti-epidemic tips to the expats around them.
The teachers and students from Wenzhou's international schools also tried their hands at making postcards themed on anti-epidemic, as well as signing up to be volunteers.
