Residents from Yong'an village, Tonglu county, East China's Zhejiang province have been busy preparing delicacies typically consumed during the Lunar New Year. These delicacies include various kinds of meat seasoned with sauce.
Sauced meat is a traditional dish in places such as the provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang and is often served during dinner on the eve of the Lunar New Year.
This year, Dou Jinjun, who runs a renowned agricultural product company in Yong'an village, received orders for over 10,000 sets of sauced duck and pork.
Dou, who is well-known for producing excellent sauced meat, only uses locally sourced pigs to ensure freshness. To make the dish, the pork is cut into strips and lathered with sauce before it is dried in the sun.
