Tonglu county in East China's Zhejiang province launched a recruitment campaign on the first day of the Chinese Lunar New Year as part of its broader push toward common prosperity.
The campaign will see the county hold more than 50 online and offline recruitment events throughout the year, with the goal of creating an additional 6,000-plus jobs, local authorities said.
Over 15 such events are scheduled to be held in the first quarter and are expected to offer more than 3,000 employment opportunities.
Over 6,000 residents of Tonglu plan to seek employment opportunities, according to data amassed by an online recruitment platform launched by the government.
Jobseekers can access the latest recruitment information on the platform after registering their personal information by scanning a QR code.
More than 10,000 jobs are required in the county for this year, including for 2,000 Tonglu natives to graduate from college and 2,000 registered unemployed people.
