Linping is located on the Hangzhou-Jiaxing-Huzhou plain. It has Chaoshan Mountain, one of the top three scenic spots in the Jiangnan region – south of the Yangtze River – which are known for plum blossoms. Then there is Tangxi Ancient Town, established during the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), among other fascinating cultural sights to visit.
In recent years, special campaigns have been carried out to improve basic environmental conditions across the district and a number of public facilities have been built – including the Linping Grand Theater and Linping Sports Center.
