The literature college named after Lu Xun Literature Prize laureate Lu Chunxiang in Tonglu, East China's Zhejiang province enrolled its first batch of students on Feb 27.

Twenty-six students were admitted to the school after passing the preliminary evaluation, experts review and an on-site examination.

These students are expected to finish a yearlong course comprising 20 classes conducted by Lu as well as other prestigious writers and creative writing teachers.

The Lu Xun Literature Prize is one of the country's top literary prizes. It was established in 1995 to honor Lu Xun, the celebrated Chinese author who is considered a pioneer in modern-day Chinese language and literature.

A native of Tonglu, Lu Chunxiang won the award for his prose Sick Letters in 2010.
