Daxing airport revs up efforts to build a city for the future

The launch ceremony of "Future City" Explorer Global Innovation Competition, initiated by the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone (BDIAEZ), was held online on June 22. The BDIAEZ Administrative Committee has worked with top universities and well-known institutions globally in the sectors of green and low-carbon development, cultural inclusivity, new consumption, and smart tech to explore the innovative development of a "Future City".
The BDIAEZ, as "China's New Gateway", will create a platform and experimental field for institutions, innovative and entrepreneurial teams and individuals to commercialize their projects.
The "Future City" Explorer Global Innovation Competition, part of the planning and construction of the Daxing International C&E and Consumption Hub, is designed to collect ideas for urban innovation and development, fuel innovation in technology, policy and business, and build its brand image as an innovator, and pool available talents, projects and brand resources.
