Jinshitan aims to build a coastal tourism destination

The Jinshitan National Tourism Resort, located in Dalian, Liaoning province, was built with the approval of the State Council in 1992. It is a leading domestic tourism resort, scenic area, national 5A tourist attraction, national ocean park, national coastal geo-park and national demonstration area for ecological tourism all rolled into one.
Located at 39 degrees north latitude and in the eastern coast of the Eurasian continent, the resort is in the warm temperature semi-humid climate zone and earns the nickname of "south of the Yangtze River in Northeast China". During the past few years, it has been awarded accolades including China's Top 10 Tourist Attraction, Leading Coastal Tourism Resort in China, and Top National Tourist Destination in China.
The resort covers an area of 70.34 square kilometers and has a coastline of 35 kilometers long. It boasts unique and rich geographical advantages and resources and has a golden beach.

So far, the resort has built over 20 cultural and tourism projects, which include Dalian Discoveryland Theme Park, Xinyue Island Cultural Theme Leisure Park, Jinshitan Botanical Park, Cultural Expo Plaza, Earth Light Popular Science Museum, Jinshi Hunting Club, Tangjingze Japanese-style Hotspring, Luneng Ocean Hotspring, Luneng Hilton Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel and the Jinshi International Convention Center.
The resort is home to over 10 schools such as Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, Dalian Minzu University, Dalian Model Art School, Dalian Maple Leaf International School, Dalian American International School and Dalian International Dance School.
It has held annual events including Dalian International Beach Culture Festival, Dalian International Winter Swimming Festival, and Dalian International Marathon.
Thanks to its sound environment and service facilities, the resort receives about six million tourists from home and abroad per year.
