Partying the night away at Dalian water-splashing festival

The Chinese iconic rock band Black Panther led about 11,000 people to kick off the opening of the 18th Dalian International Beach Culture Festival at the Jinshitan National Tourist Resort on the night of July 24.

The water-splashing festival ran from July 25 to Aug 7.

During the festival, there were lots of water pistols and water basins available for visitors who wanted to take part in activities.

The festival featured two street sprinklers where people could get wet throughout. It allowed people to embrace the ocean with its multicultural elements.

The pink beach nearby was also a must-go site for visitors. They could also enjoy a wide range of artistic shows such as the bamboo dance and the bonfire party, which reminded people of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, a popular tourist destination in Southwest's China Yunnan province.
