Torch festival lights up Dalian beach

From July 30 to Aug 7, the torch festival brightened the 18th Dalian International Beach Culture Festival held at the Dalian Jinshitan National Tourism Resort.
Known as“Carnival in the East”, it is a traditional festival of China’s ethnic groups of Yi, Bai, Naxi, Jino and Lahu.
As a creative activity of the Dalian International Beach Culture Festival, it started with a fire-praying ceremony, followed by a fire spray performance and various ethnic dances. The beach culture festival, involving more than 30 activities, will end on Sept 10.
The culture festival is hosted by the organizing committee of Dalian International Beach Culture Festival and co-hosted by the administrative committee of Dalian Jinpu New Area, Dalian Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the administrative committee of the Jinshitan National Tourism Resort.
