Digital methods energize and refine urban management

In recent years, Kangbashi district has been exploring effective digital methods of energizing and refining urban management. Via its “Duoduoping·life on code”, an intelligent and comprehensive service platform, the district has encouraged citizens to get involved in the daily urban management.

With the service platform, the district has effectively pushed forward refined urban management by digital means. So far, the platform has attracted 90,000 people, and more than 50 problems are solved using this platform every day. Incidents of uncivilized behaviors in Kangbashi decreased by about 20% compared with the same period last year.

Since the beginning of this year, Kangbashi has analyzed key data gathered from its intelligent comprehensive service platform to share information and coordinate different departments to maximize the efficiency of government management.

The district has also introduced a digital awards system to praise citizens’ good behaviors and punish bad behaviors. Public service resources such as education and health care depend on citizens’ personal points.

Every little issue in people’s lives can be photographed and uploaded to the platform for feedback. For example, stores use QR codes to keep the street clean and tidy using digital management.

In the future, Kangbashi will focus on people’s needs to build a beautiful and livable city based on digital management.
