Water-sprinkling carnival is over; visitors pleased

The happy coast water-sprinkling carnival, a brand activity of the 18th Dalian International Beach Carnival,  successfully ended on Aug 13.

From July 24 to Aug 13, the 20-day long water-sprinkling carnival had attracted 80,000 visitors with an average daily admission of 4,300 people. On Aug  6, Dalian Jinshitan National Tourist Resort attracted 104,000 visitors, hitting a new record of the number of daily visitors in 2022.

The water-sprinkling carnival integrated the cultural elements of multiple countries and ethnic groups. The attractions included the fireworks show, the torch festival and the unmanned aerial vehicles show which wowed visitors.

According to data, the resort received 1.31 million visitors in July. Key tourism enterprises achieved an operating revenue of 94.258 million yuan, a year-on-year growth of 22.54 percent. High-end hotels and inns were fully booked. For nearly half the month, the occupancy rate of major hotels reached 100 percent.

The resort has been continuously enriching its cultural attractions and also upgrading their facilities. The changes are well-received by visitors during festivals and the peak season.
