Museum unveils abstract art

The Golden Pebble Beach Art Museum was unveiled at the wine town of Dalian Golden Pebble Beach on Aug 15. A forum of northern abstract art was held the same day.

The first exhibit of the Golden Pebble Beach Art Museum presented a wonderful collection of nearly 100 pieces of abstract art.  Visitors also had the opportunity to communicate with the artists.

The museum is a comprehensive venue which can accommodate academic communication, professional seminars, artworks creation and postgraduate practice base.

Wang Duanting, a researcher of the Chinese National Academy of Arts and a famous art critic, said the museum is a shared art space for the communication and creation by artists and art lovers. The launching of the forum of North Abstract Art fully demonstrates Dalian’s openness and inclusiveness. It will bring more energy to Dalian’s focus on diversified art forms and the city’s cultural and tourism sector.

Han Manku, vice-general manager of Greentown Village Group Company Ltd, said that the wine town in the Golden Pebble Beach is a comprehensive cultural and tourism space that features grape planting, wine making, wine storage, trade, hot spring healthcare, ecological tourism and relaxation. The operation of the museum will enrich the cultural image of the wine town and bring more highlights to Dalian’s culture and arts scene.
