The city of Zunyi – located in Southwest China's Guizhou province – is improving the quality and efficiency of its leading industrial sectors such as Chinese baijiu, new energy, new materials, the digital economy, basic materials, aviation and equipment manufacturing and organic food.
At Zunyi's Renhuai Tianbang Brewing Co, automatic electric boilers have replaced old ones that used coal or gas. These require fewer maintenance crews and can reduce 0.16 metric tons of carbon dioxide per ton of steam production.
Furthermore, a newly constructed intelligent packaging workshop at the plant can realize autonomic packaging and increase output capacity by 50 percent compared with traditional packaging workshops.
At Guizhou Zunyi Ebusbar Sci-tech Development Co, about 20 of its production lines are now high-efficiency operations. The company produces components for new emergency vehicles and sells them to Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. This year, the company's total output value is estimated to hit 500 million yuan ($69.93 million).
After starting up in Zunyi, the company has ramped up its R&D, production and marketing of core auto parts. Its products are widely applied in new energy vehicles, the wind energy industry, solar power and smart grids.
Guizhou Qunjian Precision Machinery Co – in Zunyi's Huichuan district – produces gears for robots, engineering machinery and autos. It is also making gears and transmission products for China's space system.
At Zunyi Dezhuang Food Industry Co, in the Xinpu New Area, mechanical arms and robots are used to produce chili pepper products. Relying on thousands of restaurants and a global marketing network, these products are sold across the world.
