Hangzhou's Linping district has developed an online assistance and supervision system for medical device manufacturers and medicine stores.
The system's website was launched in June and has to date served 12 medical device manufacturers and over 450 pharmaceutical stores, according to authorities at the Linping administration for market regulation.
Companies can also use the website to learn about the latest policies and regulations, receive business consultations, submit applications, and get quality control guidance.
The system also supervises the storage environment of 35 medicine retail companies and 12 headquarters of pharmaceutical chain brands. Since Jan 1, the system has detected and corrected 975 abnormal storage temperatures.
Local authorities said they are expecting to include information about the sales of medicine and medical devices and pharmacists in the system.
