Heze city in East China's Shandong province recently awarded a flag to the city's only professional team that is dedicated to the protection and management of the Yellow River.
Juancheng county, where the ceremony took place, has in recent years been actively exploring ways to protect the ecology of the Yellow River basin.

The county has also ramped up efforts to protect, inherit and promote Yellow River culture. For example, it has participated in various cultural tourism activities and contributed to the construction of a provincial Yellow River culture experience corridor.
"Juancheng county will make every effort to create a Yellow River culture ecological tourism belt and let the river benefit its people in a holistic manner," said Xing Tao, director of the Juancheng county development and reform bureau. (Edited by Fan Yuanyuan)
