Intl Conference of Mountain Tourism and Outdoor Sports 2023 to open in Guizhou

The International Conference of Mountain Tourism and Outdoor Sports 2023 aims to showcase Guizhou's abundant tourism and sports attractions. [Photo/eguizhou.gov.cn]
The International Conference of Mountain Tourism and Outdoor Sports 2023 will be held in Xingyi, Guizhou's Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, on Sept 15-16.
The conference will be attended by officials from national ministries and commissions, as well as internationally renowned experts and scholars from the cultural, tourism, and sports industries. Representatives from tourism and sports organizations, as well as prominent individuals and heads of provincial-level tourism departments, will also be present.
This year's conference will consist of three parts: the main activities, mountain tourism and cultural experience activities, and sub-activities.
The main activities include an opening ceremony, the 2023 Wanfenglin Half Marathon, the International Mountain Tourism Alliance Annual Conference and Dialogue Among Famous Mountains in the World, the Forum on International Mountain Tourism Destination City Construction, and investment promotion and talent recruitment activities for Guizhou's culture, sports and tourism industries.
The mountain tourism and cultural experience activities will provide participants with immersive experiences of the mountain tourism lifestyle in Qianxinan, showcasing the charm of the prefecture's nighttime economy and highlighting its efforts to become an international mountain tourism destination.
Sub-activities include the 2023 National Softball and Baseball Championship and Summer Camp, 2023 China "Legend" Challenge, 2023 International High Bridge Extreme Sports Invitation Tournament, 17th China Wanfeng Lake Wild Fishing Competition, 2023 China Anlong Dushan International Climbing Week, Sino-French Mountain Film Exhibition, Guizhou Mountain Tourism and Outdoor Sports Products Exhibition, and 2023 International Mountain Bike Race in Wanfenglin scenic spot.
The activities will take place from May to December of this year.
