ASEAN-China Youth Hosts Camp launches study tour in Guilin
The third season of the ASEAN-China Youth Hosts Camp launched a study tour in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, from July 24 to 28.
As a world-class tourist city, Guilin attracts attention from the world for its unique traditions, Chinese cultural symbols, beautiful sceneries, delicious food and traditional Chinese opera.
As this year marks the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the camp selected the most internationalized city landmarks and the most representative cultural symbols of Guilin. The young hosts showcased the sense of gain and happiness by the young people from countries involved in the BRI as well as the new opportunities for Guilin going global.
There were two themes for this study tour. One is “Fun in culture and tourism” where the cultural and creative industries and five-star cruise witnessed the development of tourism. The other is “Caidiao opera” where intangible cultural heritage and traditional opera took center stage.
