The theme of the ASEAN-China Youth Hosts Camp (Season 3) is "sharing new achievements, jointly creating new audio-visual experiences, building a better future together". The camp aimed to recruit young hosts around the world and was scheduled to take place from July to August this year in the cities involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, including Guilin and Guangzhou in China, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, and Hanoi in Vietnam.

Via new media methods such as livestreaming and short videos, they talked about the development and opportunities brought to countries involved in the BRI. It also told the stories of development and win-win cooperation between China and other countries.

At the launch ceremony, young hosts from Indonesia, Vietnam, and China recommended four  routes for this season's camp. The selection of cities and planning of study content closely follow the "Road" theme, such as Guangzhou, an important starting point for the maritime Silk Road, Guilin, a regional cultural tourism city connecting ASEAN, the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway, the first high speed railway in Southeast Asia, and Hanoi Light Rail, the first city light rail that China built overseas. Young hosts experienced different modes of transportation to conduct mutual learning with their counterparts.
