ASEAN-China youth camp kicks off study tour in Hanoi
A study tour of the third season of the ASEAN-China Youth Hosts Camp was held in Hanoi, Vietnam from Aug 10 to 12.
Vietnam and China share similar cultures and boast a close people-to-people bond. Vietnam is also China's largest trading partner among the ASEAN countries and an important country in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The three-day study tour consisted of two themes, which were "China-Built Hanoi Light Rail Leads to an Era of Green Travel in Vietnam" and "the BRI Delivers Fresh and Convenient Shopping Experience to People Worldwide."
The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the BRI, the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the China-ASEAN strategic partnership and the 20th anniversary of the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO).
The ASEAN-China Youth Hosts Camp (Season 3) was a series of events for the 5th ASEAN-China Media Week.
With the theme of "Sharing New Achievements, Jointly Creating New Audio-visual Experiences and Building a Better Future Together", the camp event in Hanoi aimed to bring together a group of young hosts who are familiar with the cultures of China and the ASEAN countries and are willing to explore, witness, and explain the development and opportunities brought by the BRI from their perspectives.
They are also expected to make the efforts to help promote the building of a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future, and push for the construction of a common homeland with the theme of peace, tranquility, prosperity, beauty and friendliness.
