5G, AI to drive development of digital economy
5G and terminal-side AI will inject new growth into the innovative development of the digital economy.
It was stated by Qian Kun, global senior vice president of Qualcomm, at the China Hi-Tech Forum during the ongoing 25th China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) in Shenzhen.
According to Qian, terminal-side AI has advantages in reliability, contextualization, privacy, and personalization, and it is revolutionizing the way users interact with their devices.

Qualcomm also believes that the integration of generative AI in both terminal devices and universal large-scale models in cloud computing will create new opportunities for intelligent development in various sectors, such as retail, security, energy and utilities, supply chains, and asset management. By leveraging 5G wireless connectivity and generative AI, practical applications including real-time data analysis, enhanced supply chain efficiency, intelligent high-reliability control, and infrastructure optimization can become a reality.
As an important part of the CHTF, this year's forum features a variety of themes, including "New Era, New Technology, and New Economy", "Emerging Technologies Change the World", and "Innovation Leads the Future".
