Xi'an Customs' technology center recently passed the on-site evaluation by the professional review team of the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) for laboratory re-evaluation, expansion, and modification.

After the review, the technology center confirmed 3,677 parameters across 18 categories, including food, feed, plants and plant products, and express packaging.

The technology center houses one key laboratory for national fruit and vegetable juice testing under the General Administration of Customs and one regional laboratory for plant and animal quarantine.

In recent years, the center has focused on the import and export needs of Shaanxi province and national biosecurity monitoring requirements, significantly strengthening laboratory capabilities. With over 100 sets of large-scale equipment funded by the General Administration of Customs, it has expanded into new areas like express packaging and broadened qualifications for food, plant, and animal quarantine.

It conducts comprehensive testing for imported special medical formula milk powder and exports to Southeast Asia, meeting demand for expedited customs clearance. Additionally, it has introduced convenient measures such as "appointment testing" and "priority testing" to ensure swift customs clearance for food and agricultural products from Shaanxi.
