Xi'an High-tech International Medical Center Hospital celebrates its 5th anniversary
On Sept 25, Xi'an High-tech International Medical Center Hospital celebrated its fifth year in existence.
As a comprehensive hospital integrating medical care, scientific research, education, prevention, health care, rehabilitation, and health management, the hospital is accredited by the international JCI and built to the standards of a Grade A tertiary hospital.
Over the past five years, Xi'an High-tech International Medical Center Hospital has attracted, nurtured, and utilized talents, gathering elites and empowering them. It has recruited over 5,400 talents from 31 provinces and cities nationwide, with over 32% of medical staff graduating from "Double First-Class" universities, nearly 56% holding master's or doctoral degrees, and 21% having vocational qualifications.
Focusing on discipline construction, the hospital has established 9 MDT clinics and 130 specialty clinics. Departments such as Oncology, Hematology, and Ultrasound Medicine have been approved for provincial-level key clinical specialty construction projects, while Gastroenterology and Orthopedics have been approved for municipal-level key clinical specialty construction projects.
The hospital excels in critical care, rare and complex disease diagnosis and treatment, interventional therapy, minimally invasive surgery, comprehensive cancer treatment, orthopedic techniques, 3D printing, cell therapy, and other advanced medical technologies, reaching a regional leading, domestically advanced, and internationally top-notch level. It is the first Yttrium-90 and Radium-223 standardized treatment center in the Northwest China. The sixth-generation radio knife was officially put into use in May this year, and the Northwest, China's first proton center is planned to be operational next year.
Research is key to driving the hospital's construction and development. Major research project applications have achieved significant breakthroughs: 314 project topics have been approved, including 4 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China; the hospital has won one third prize for scientific and technological progress in Shaanxi province; and it has published 560 SCI papers, with the highest impact factor reaching 56.7.
Emphasizing teaching and training to enhance internal strength, the hospital is affiliated with Northwest University, Wenzhou Medical University, and Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine. Nearly 90,000 people have participated in various training programs, including new employee pre-job training, intern teaching, basic and specialized medical skills training, with a 100% participation rate and pass rate.
To address patients' urgent needs and concerns, the hospital actively explores convenient services and has received praise from all sectors of society. Over the past five years, the hospital has implemented year-round outpatient services without holidays, three-day validity for a single registration, and "Internet + home care services" among other measures.
As a "Shaanxi Province Model Unit for Retired Military Personnel," Xi'an High-tech International Medical Center Hospital provides convenient medical services for active-duty military personnel and their immediate family members. The hospital has engaged with the community, entered factories, and conducted over 800 social welfare activities; it has established partnerships with more than 170 medical consortium units.
Xi'an High-tech International Medical Center Hospital covers an area of 471 acres, with a medical building area of 955,000 square meters and a maximum of 8,637 beds. It includes 19 specialized hospitals such as Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, and Endocrinology, 17 clinical departments, 12 medical technology departments, and 1 health management center. The hospital is designated for urban employees, urban and rural residents' medical insurance, maternity care, work-related injury insurance, and retirement medical insurance, strictly adhering to national public hospital charging standards and industry regulations.
