Dianchi Lake Convention and Exhibition West Road enlisted in the national business card

In the Fubao Bandao at Dianchi Lake in Kunming, Yunnan province, a wide and flat road winds its way -- it is the Dianchi Lake Convention and Exhibition West Road built by China Communications Construction Company's Second Harbor Engineering Company.

This important supporting road for the Kunming Dianchi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center resembles a graceful ribbon and greatly enhances the transportation infrastructure around the center.

The Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center is a major construction project under China’s Belt and Road Initiative. As a surrounding supporting project, Dianchi Lake Convention and Exhibition West Road not only had the capacity of accommodating over 4 million person/times to visit the 8th China-South Asia Expo held at the center in July this year, its clear and distinct road signs provided essential infrastructure support for the successful hosting of the expo.

The road is planned as a main urban artery, with two-way eight lanes, including dedicated lanes for public transportation. The road reserve width is 60 meters, running north-south for 2247.79 meters. Its construction consists of roadbed, pavement, bridge and culvert, electric tunnel, utility network, landscaping, traffic safety, lighting and bridge engineering.

Since the completion and opening of Dianchi Lake Convention and Exhibition West Road, the Dianchi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center has successively hosted numerous large-scale exhibitions and various professional expos, such as the China-South Asia Expo and the China International Travel Mart.

The road, with its high-quality road standards and beautiful landscape design, has become a striking scenic route in Kunming.

It not only provides convenience for hosting exhibitions but also draws many tourists for sightseeing, effectively driving the development of Yunnan's tourism industry and promoting international trade and economic cooperation.
