Rail transit lines in Chengdu, capital city of Sichuan province, are like winding hidden dragons, crisscrossing through the meandering underground and seamlessly connecting all parts of the metropolitan city, forming a three-dimensional transportation network.

As one of the core transportation hubs of Chengdu, a city striving to develop into one of the most important for the Belt and Road Initiative, the Phase I project of Chengdu Rail Transit Line 30 is currently undergoing dynamic testing. Another transportation hub is about to open, strengthening the urban transportation capabilities of Chengdu.

As the constructor of this rail transit line, China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) has brought high reliability to Chengdu's rail transit system with its abundant construction experience and exquisite technology.

The starting point of Phase I of Chengdu Rail Transit Line 30 is at Terminal 2 of Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, and it terminates at Longquan Station in Longquanyi district. The line runs from east to west and has a total length of 27.96 kilometers.

The project spans across 4 administrative districts in the city, with complex and variable geology, dense underground pipelines, strict settlement requirements, and extremely high risks. The entire construction process is akin to performing a precise surgery, where each step must be meticulously executed to achieve the feat of "threading a needle over a thousand miles".

Tackling construction bottlenecks, the project team has independently developed new technologies, such as automatic detection for existing lines, three-dimensional point cloud slope and alignment adjustment, and comprehensive detection of geological hazards, which have not only provided strong guarantees for the shield tunneling to meet millimeter-level control standards but also drive the comprehensive upgrade of rail transit construction towards "intelligent" and "green” construction.

All 26 construction sites have been awarded the title of "Chengdu Green Construction Benchmark Site", while the project has also been awarded the title of "Chengdu High-Quality Demonstration Project".

Once open to service, travelers will be able to transfer from the central urban area of Chengdu to Shuangliu Airport with just one ticket. People will also be able to easily interchange with the six other operational rail transit lines, travelling without hindrance to explore the fashionable Chunxi Road, get up close with the national treasure giant pandas, and enjoy a cup of tea or eat hotpot.

Now, the hidden dragon has raised its head, and an even more exciting future awaits. Come experience it all.
