"The photovoltaic industry is poised in its youth, with a vast 20-fold potential for growth over the next two decades, set to spearhead the global energy transformation. We must steadfastly commit to enhancing quality, efficiency, and innovation, driving the high-quality evolution of new energy," said Zhong Baoshen, chairman of LONGi Green Energy, during a financial program aired by China Central Radio and Television (CCTV) on December 19.

Headquartered in Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China, LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. stands as a leading monocrystalline silicon manufacturing enterprise. Longi Corporation's strength stems from its rich experience in the semiconductor domain, large-scale production capabilities, stringent cost control measures, and unwavering dedication to technological advancements and quality standards.

The International Energy Agency, projects that by 2050, electricity will emerge as the primary energy carrier worldwide. Renewables are set to dominate, constituting 80% of total electricity capacity, with photovoltaic energy capacity accounting for a substantial 54%. Amidst the global energy transition wave, the new energy sector is witnessing a robust growth trajectory, emerging as a pivotal force in propelling sustainable economic progress and combating climate change.

Over the past decade, China's photovoltaic industry has transitioned from import dependence to independent research and development, eventually leading in manufacturing, progressing from pilot applications to large-scale deployment, and ultimately benefiting the global community. These strides have not only bolstered China's energy transformation but also catalyzed sustainable economic and social advancement on a global scale.

As an ambassador of the new energy realm, Zhong Baoshen emphasized that sustained advancements in technology, innovative solutions, and ecosystem development are imperative for the enduring and comprehensive progress of the photovoltaic-driven new energy sector.

Reflecting on the industry's evolution, Zhong highlighted LONGi's unwavering commitment to innovation. From enhancing mass production efficiency through the adoption of single-crystal technology over polycrystalline counterparts to breakthroughs in PERC cells for dual-sided power generation and advancements in BC technology, LONGi continues to push boundaries.

In a significant milestone this year, LONGi set two world efficiency records in solar cell technology. They reached27.30% efficiency for monocrystalline silicon cells and an impressive 34.6% for monocrystalline silicon perovskite stacked cells. These achievements were recognized in the "Highest Research Efficiency Chart for Solar Cells" released by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory of the United States in October, marking a significant milestone for the company.

In the realm of product innovation, LONGi's Longi Tairui silicon wafer, launched in March, boasts three key advantages: comprehensive technology platform support, high resistance concentration, and effective impurity absorption capabilities.

Since 2022, LONGi has introduced a range of BC products tailored for diverse applications, leveraging its proprietary HPBC technology. These include the Hi-MO X6 high-efficiency anti-dust module, Hi-MO X6 double glass moisture-resistant module, Hi-MO X6 villa module, Hi-MO 9, and Hi-MO X10.

Furthermore, LONGi is actively engaged in application innovation, extending its green energy solutions to various locales such as Boao in Hainan province, Beijing, and rural areas in Shaanxi province, offering local businesses and resident’s access to sustainable energy solutions.

"Green development forms the bedrock of high-quality progress, and the path ahead for the photovoltaic-led new energy industry is clear. Despite facing numerous challenges, the future holds immense promise," concluded Zhong.
