State Grid Fuyang Power Supply Company: Powering wheat harvest season with uninterrupted service
As the wheat fields in Fuyang, Anhui province, sway in the breeze and the hum of machinery fills the air, the wheat harvest season approaches. In preparation, the State Grid Fuyang Power Supply Company has mobilized the Wanmei Communist Party Member Service Team to ensure a seamless summer harvest through various initiatives.

"Recently, we've been busy maintaining and repairing harvesters, and I'm pleased to report that the power supply for our equipment is stable," said Bu Xiaoxiao, head of the Zhenyu Agricultural Machinery Service Cooperative in Jieshou city, Fuyang.
During a visit from the service team, Bu noted that the cooperative has established cross-regional operations with nearby areas, enlisting over 100 agricultural machinery operators for the upcoming harvest. As the cooperative works overtime to ready the harvesters, a reliable power supply is essential. The service team conducted a thorough inspection of the cooperative's power lines and equipment to ensure the maintenance work proceeds smoothly.
In addition, the service team distributed letters to "All Harvester Drivers" and leaflets on protecting power facilities to the machinery operators. They provided detailed information on safe distances from power facilities and reminded operators to be mindful of power lines and equipment during harvesting.
"We also created reminder stickers and placed them prominently in the cabs, ensuring operators can easily see them and avoid damaging power facilities," said Huang Zhicheng, a member of the service team.
Tian Anan, an agricultural machinery operator with 16 years of experience, added: "Every summer grain harvest, we see the power employees out here.
"Their reminders help us steer clear of power towers, preventing any damage between our harvesters and the equipment. This allows us to maximize our work during the farming season and earn more."
Alongside on-site services and safety outreach, the State Grid Fuyang Power Supply Company has been updating and replenishing power equipment identification marks. At the Quanyang Central Power Supply Office, service teams swiftly replaced weathered anti-collision stickers on power poles and guy wire sleeves.

"Harvesters are large and have many blind spots," said Wang Wei, a power service staff member.
"During harvesting, smoke and dust can obscure operators' vision. Prominent identification marks are crucial for attracting their attention and preventing accidents."
State Grid Fuyang Power Supply Company is committed to intensifying its summer harvest services and power facility protection efforts, ensuring a smooth and successful wheat harvest season.
