Yulin, a national energy and chemical industry base rich in coal, gas, oil, and salt resources, is at the forefront of balancing mineral resource development with environmental protection.

Yulin has implemented over 5,000 reduction projects, resulting in the cumulative reduction in demand of 9,908 metric tons of chemical oxygen, 1,481 tons of ammonia nitrogen, 14,125 tons of nitrogen oxides, and 11,879 tons of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The city has established five carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) projects.

Meanwhile, the city has issued key documents such as the "Yulin Ecological Environment Monitoring Performance Evaluation Measures (Trial)" and the "Yulin Ecological Environment Monitoring Capacity Building Evaluation Guidelines (Trial)" to enhance monitoring capabilities and standards.

Authorities have introduced measures to expedite environmental impact assessment approvals for key projects. By establishing a "green channel" and implementing the "Four Ones" mechanism, the city has shortened approval times and eliminated EIA technical assessment fees, facilitating the rapid implementation of 175 projects.

Yulin's commitment to high-quality development is further supported by "one-on-one" services for 103 key projects, aiding the launch of major initiatives such as the second phase of Shaanxi Coal Group's Yulin Chemical and the second phase of the Yuneng Hengshan Power Plant.

Yulin has implemented 60 emission reduction projects, launched 22 new solid waste utilization demonstration projects, and completed 44 hazardous waste disposal projects to reduce pollution.
