An art exhibition themed on the history of China’s labor movement opens at the Ningxia Art Museum on May 1,2025.
The exhibition’s centerpiece is a 100-meter scroll depicting the history of China’s labor movement, created over the course of a year by a team of artists from Ningxia.
More than 1,000 vividly portrayed figures and over 100 historical scenes bring to life the contributions and spirit of workers across different periods of China’s modern history, highlighting the spirit of model workers, the dignity of labor and the pursuit of craftsmanship.

Visitors view the portrayed figures and historical scenes depicted on the 100-meter-long scroll showcasing the history of China’s labor movement.
The exhibition is divided into three sections. The first features the themed exhibition on the history of China’s labor movement, using the panoramic scroll, images of 100 model workers from Ningxia and scenes of workers on the job to guide visitors through the century-long journey of China’s labor movement. The second section showcases 130 outstanding works of calligraphy, painting and photography created by employees from across the Ningxia Hui autonomous region, reflecting workers’ artistic talent and creativity. The third section is an invitational exhibition featuring 57 works by renowned calligraphers and painters from across the country.
