Shandong Heavy Industry accelerates global expansion
Shandong-based Shandong Heavy Industry Group has emerged as a strategic powerhouse in recent years, expanding into international markets and accelerating its globalization efforts.
The group has been adjusting its export strategy since September 2024, focusing on high-potential and high-value-added markets such as the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Europe. By leveraging its strong brand portfolio and high-quality products, it has secured numerous large orders. For example, its subsidiary Zhongtong Bus secured an 895-unit electric bus order for Chile's capital, Santiago.

In the first half of this year, Shandong Heavy Industry Group's export revenue and profits grew by 5.6 percent year-on-year. The group's heavy-duty truck exports maintained the top spot in the industry, while light-duty truck exports surged by 73 percent.
Shandong Heavy Industry Group has also been committed to localization. It has established over 300 overseas offices, more than 1,000 marketing channels, and 40 overseas factories in more than 30 countries. It customizes products to meet local demands. In Australia, its subsidiary Shantui developed a specialized bulldozer tailored to the local mining environment.

Moreover, the group actively fulfills its social responsibilities globally. It has built a Nishan Book House in Kazakhstan to promote cultural exchange and provided disaster relief to Myanmar after a major earthquake.
