Ningbo, Zhejiang: Autumn overhaul begins to strengthen power supply security
On Sep 16, State Grid Ningbo Power Supply Company launched its first major autumn overhaul at the Qiujia 110-kilovolt substation in Fenghua district. Over the next eight days, maintenance crews will conduct a comprehensive "health check" on the facility's equipment to reinforce power security for the region's economic development.

After months of high-load operation during peak summer demand, the autumn maintenance season plays a critical role in identifying hidden risks and ensuring stable equipment performance. The inspection focuses on core safety functions, including precision testing of relay protection systems, insulation strength, and operating mechanisms. Smart inspection systems, infrared thermography, and data analysis are being deployed to assess equipment conditions with greater accuracy and to eliminate potential hazards in a timely manner.

The Qiujia 110-kV substation serves as a key power hub in southern Fenghua, supplying electricity to local industries, residential communities, and essential infrastructure. Its maintenance not only secures the operation of a single substation but also strengthens the reliability of the entire regional grid. The overhaul is expected to enhance power capacity and risk resilience, providing a stable supply for the manufacturing and service sectors and supporting steady economic growth in the area.
This project marks the start of Fenghua district's autumn substation maintenance program. State Grid Ningbo Power Supply Company has emphasized strict accountability, risk prevention, and quality control throughout the process. In the coming weeks, additional substations across Fenghua will undergo systematic inspection and maintenance, ensuring safe and reliable power for the winter season and safeguarding the district’s economic and social development.
