State Grid's overnight efforts illuminates Xuzhou's key municipal project

On Sep 21, after an all-night effort, the Gulou Service Center of State Grid Xuzhou Power Supply Company's successfully completed the power delivery for the Huanglou Park–Huanghe South Road to Jiarhe Street overpass corridor.

The project, overseen by the Xuzhou Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, is a key municipal initiative with a tight schedule and urgent power demands. As one of the first localized urban distribution network projects implemented by the company, it served as an effective test of rapid response and coordination.

State Grid Xuzhou attached great importance to the task, setting up a special service team and adopting a "one-on-one" customer manager tracking mechanism. Following the completion of external line procedures in late August, the company immediately launched an emergency response, streamlining internal approvals, coordinating resources, and mobilizing construction crews. To minimize the impact on local electricity supply and traffic, the company organized overnight construction during off-peak hours.

On-site, more than 20 engineers and technicians worked through the night under challenging conditions, completing equipment installation, testing, and power transmission in just seven hours. By dawn, the new ring station was successfully energized on its first attempt, significantly enhancing power reliability in the area and providing solid energy support for the project's timely completion and opening.
