Ningbo powers eco-friendly travel with safe and reliable charging services
On Sep 19, ahead of the National Day holiday, employees from State Grid Ningbo Power Supply Company conducted a special inspection of electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities at Xikou Mount Xuedou Scenic Area Visitor Center. This effort ensures a safe and reliable charging experience for tourists, promoting green travel during the festivities.

As a key transport hub in the national 5A-level scenic area, the charging station's stable operation is critical during the holidays. Even minor faults could disrupt visitors' travel plans. Technicians conducted a comprehensive "check-up" on DC fast chargers and AC slow chargers, using professional instruments to test performance and safety. They inspected charging guns, cables, and emergency stop buttons, performed infrared thermal scans on internal modules to detect overheating risks, and ensured all equipment was clean, clearly labeled, and in optimal condition. The team also provided detailed maintenance guidance to site operators, preparing the facilities for peak holiday demand.
During the inspection, State Grid staff engaged closely with the scenic area's management to review expected charging loads and refine contingency plans for high-demand periods. "With so many tourists during the holiday, EV charging demand will surge. The company's timely support gives us confidence to provide secure services for visitors' green travel," said a spokesperson from the Visitor Center.

Currently, 19 charging stations with 82 charging piles have been built in the Xikou Scenic Area, forming a "15-minute charging circle" that eliminates range anxiety for EV owners. Looking ahead, State Grid Ningbo Power Supply Company plans to promote solar-powered carports integrating photovoltaic, energy storage, and charging technologies, building demonstration sites that further advance green energy applications.
