State Grid Xuzhou Power Supply ensures reliable electricity for street-stall economies
The Yangtun Power Supply Station of State Grid Xuzhou Power Supply Company recently launched a "Safe Electricity Safeguard" campaign at Sulu Trade City's snack street. This initiative provides on-site inspections and safety guidance to local vendors, aiming to eliminate electrical hazards and promote safe electricity use, and power the vibrant growth of the street-stall economy.
During the campaign, staff checked each stall for issues such as aging sockets, unsafe wiring, and missing leakage protection. Technician Li advised, a vendor to replace the power strip near water basin with a splash-proof- model. For barbecue and beverage stalls with high-power equipment, the team installed leakage protection switches and distributed Temporary Electricity Safety Guides to mitigate risks.
To counter the common mindset of "focusing on business while neglecting safety," staff offered practical tips such as "never touch appliances with wet hands" and "always switch off the main power after closing". Through case studies and Q&A sessions, vendors' safety awareness was significantly improved.
Additionally, a dedicated WeChat service group was set up to respond to stall owners' electricity needs around the clock, ensuring they feel assured that "electricity is under management and safety under protection".
