The graduation ceremony for the "Chinese + Engineering" training program, hosted by the Nairobi Green Park Underpass Project team of CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co's Kenya Branch and co-organized by the Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi, was recently held.

The three-month training program included four main modules–basic Chinese expressions, commonly-used engineering terms, workplace communication skills, and general knowledge of Chinese culture. The aim was to enhance the communication abilities and cross-cultural understanding of local employees through a combination of language and skill training.

At the graduation ceremony, nine participants completed the training and received their certificates. Among them, Jimmy was recognized as an "Outstanding Trainee" for his exceptional performance and delivered a speech as a representative. He expressed gratitude to the CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co and the Confucius Institute for their support, shared the knowledge and confidence he gained during the training, and stated his intention to apply what he learned in his future work.

As a major state-owned enterprise contractor working long-term in Kenya, the CCCC Second Harbor Engineering is committed to building high-quality infrastructure projects and cultivating talent. Through the "Chinese + Engineering" format, participants acquired practical Chinese expressions used in engineering work and deepened their understanding of Chinese culture.

In the future, the CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co's Kenya Branch will continue to explore the "Chinese + Professional Skills" training model, helping more local employees grow and succeed.
