Wuhan Textile University will host three parallel sessions on Oct 28, a key highlight of the third International Conference on Fashion and Sustainability (ICFS 2025).

These sessions will focus on the core themes of "Cultural Inheritance and Innovation", "Technological Innovation and Future Fashion", and "Sustainable Fashion Education and Practice".

Scholars and industry representatives from China, the United Kingdom, India, Bangladesh, and other countries will present 52 academic papers, fostering a global dialogue on sustainable fashion development.

The "Cultural Inheritance and Innovation" session will examine fashion innovation practices from a multicultural perspective. It aims to uncover the cultural significance of traditional clothing and explore digital preservation methods for ethnic cultures.

The "Technological Innovation and Future Fashion" session will highlight groundbreaking advancements in sustainable material development and digital technology. International research teams have achieved industrial-scale production of natural plant dyes and developed smart fabrics with self-healing properties.

AI algorithms have also been employed to reinterpret traditional clothing patterns, translating them into modern aesthetics, thus bridging the gap between tradition and innovation.

The "Sustainable Fashion Education and Practice" session will present cutting-edge international research on sustainability while emphasizing the unique characteristics of Chinese education. This session will focus on establishing standards for low-carbon transformation across the entire clothing design, material development, and production process.
