Workers’ calligraphy and painting exhibition opens in Ningxia
A joint calligraphy and painting exhibition featuring works by employees from 21 Chinese cities opened on Oct 28 at the Ningxia Workers’ Cultural Palace in Northwest China’s Ningxia Hui autonomous region, as part of celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.
The exhibition brought together 223 works of calligraphy and fine art from cities including Shanghai, Nanjing and Xiamen. The Ningxia stop of the touring exhibition will run through Nov 9.

The exhibition features a wide variety of artistic works, ranging from traditional calligraphy to paintings, showcasing the artistic talent and creativity of workers from across the country.
One of the highlights was the scroll depicting the history of China’s labor movement. Through grand visual storytelling and refined artistic techniques, the scroll retraces the century-long development of China’s labor movement and reflects both strong historical significance and artistic value.

Each activity offers 100 free participation spots for workers and their families, aiming to promote cultural exchange and encourage public participation in the arts.
